Purpose |
Developed a Web application for a national bank to gather and analyze currency transactions and report
unusual activities to the appropriate authorities as required by the Federal Government's CTR010 and CTR020
regulations.

Description |
This application is used to import all the daily CTR010 and CTR020 transactions into one database.
Each set of transactions are then reviewed by specialists who verify the validity of each
transaction and cross-check to see if any of these need to be further researched as an unusal activity and reported separately.

Features |
Following are some of the key features of this application:
- Extensive filtering mechanisms on most pages to assist users in researching related transacions
- Users can view their work queue on one page, including 'In Process', 'On Hold' and recently 'Completed' reports, with the ability to drilldown for more details
- Managers can track reports completed by each user over a specified time frame
- Users can view all the data on one page, or split it over multiple pages
- Ability to create, send and track memos for each traction via Email
- Users can export any GridView dataset to Microsoft Excel for further analysis
- Restricted access based on the security model assigned to each user's role with the ability to assign multiple roles to each user
- Integrated Windows Service for unattended import of data when files are dropped into a designated folder
- Custom utility to stop, install and restart the data import service
- Numerous customizeable options through web.config
- Customizable lists of options through the Admin page
- In-line editing of records in a GridView, where applicable
- Simplified mechanism for adding new records in a GridView, where needed
- Random selection of Completed reports for audit and review by specialists
- Full Quality Review process life-cycle

Components |
This application comprises of the following main components:
- Main Menu: Blocks access to restricted functions for each user
- Work Reports: Provides access to work-in-progress for each user
- Managers Tab: Gives managers the ability to reassign reports, review missing CTRs, as well as manage worker productivity
- Database Admin: Provides database administrators the ability to edit or add new choices to the various lists used; as well as restrict access to the application
- Unusual Activity Review: Gives users the ability to access and research unusual transactions
- Quality Review: Gives specialists the ability to review, research and approve quality review audits
